It is already looking like Christmas around our house! We bought Emma Kate her own six foot Christmas tree and couldn't wait to put it up! The rest of the house is still a work in progress but hopefully will be finished the weekend after Thanksgiving once I get some sentimental stuff from Mom and Dad's house that I am going to use! I will post pictures of everything else once we get it all ready! We are having three trees this year so I have been quite busy shopping for decorations with Courtney and my mom! I just love Christmas and Emma Kate makes it even more fun!
entertaining herself while we decorate!

She couldn't stop staring at her tree!

New Foods!
Since my last post, Emma Kate has tried green beans, carrots, and squash. She loves green beans the best, carrots are okay, but she doesn't like squash very much! Sweet potatoes are next and then we start meats just in time for her to have turkey for Thanksgiving! :)

Peas, please!
Emma Kate started on peas today for lunch and supper! She wasn't quite sure about them at first but ended up eating her whole bowl both times! I'm sure they taste a little better than that cereal that smells like cardboard! Except the smell of the peas made both Drew and me gag! We got some great pictures that I wanted to share!

Getting ready for the holidays!
We are extra excited about the holidays this year since it will be our first Thanksgiving together since we got married and our first Christmas to play 'Santa Claus'. We are getting busy doing some early Christmas present shopping! Courtney and I went to Paul Michaels in Lake Village, AR, and I fell in love with that store! I could have brought home everything in there!!! We got some great Christmas decorations for the house and especially for Emma Kate's room! Drew and I are itching to start decorating! I will post pictures of all of it once we get it up... if we can wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving! Courtney took a cute picture of Emma Kate that I wanted to share! I was so happy she went with us and Emma Kate just loves her! Of course while we were in the stores the cashiers were talking to Emma Kate and she was being a little social butterfly grinning and talking a little to them! She has such a social personality!
We are on the last cereal we have to introduce before we start vegetables on Thursday so be looking for cute pictures of that! So far, she likes rice, oatmeal, and wheat cereal, but cannot stand barley! Who can blame her?! Barley doesn't sound good to me either! For the first vegetable to try, we decided on peas so we will see how well that goes over! I'm sure there will be plenty of faces made. The color makes me and Drew both cringe it looks so nasty but maybe she will like it!
She is rolling over all the time, only halfway though! She is a lot more patient on her stomach than she used to be and is trying so hard to get her knees up under her! I know it won't be too much longer before she is crawling around! She tries to pull herself on the blanket already!
As for Drew and I, we are just trying to finish up this semester of school! Drew is so ready to be finished and graduate in December and I just registered for my last semester of undergrad classes! It is hard to believe time has gone by so fast! We are excited about what the future holds for us though!

Emma Kate's First Halloween
For Halloween (also my dad's birthday) we went to Kyle and Jamie's house for their Halloween party. We had a lot of fun! They did such a great job decorating! Drew and I dressed up as Bonnie and Clyde and Emma Kate was a pumpkin! Doodle was the farmer in the dell (but we didn't get a picture of her with her dell box around her) and D was a fisherman. It was fun to get to dress up since Emma Kate is still too little to go Trick-or-Treating! For her "halloween happy", D bought her a jumper! She loves playing with the toys on it but her feet don't touch the ground just yet! Hopefully she will be able to reach the floor soon and start jumping!
