Spring is Finally Here!

A lot has been going on in our family lately! I haven't had much time to update everyone! Drew has been busy working and I have been so busy finishing up this semester and getting ready to graduate. I can't believe four years have already passed since I came to college. Drew and I started dating my freshman year and it seems like hardly any time has passed at all since we went on our first date. We are so blessed to have each other, our sweet baby girl, and support from our wonderful family and friends. We couldn't have made it this far without you all!

Right now, our plans for after graduation are still a little unclear. We are just waiting for God to show us what to do next. I applied to graduate schools but none have worked out so we are just trusting that God has something bigger and better in store for us! And we can't wait to find out what it is!

Emma Kate has grown so much since my last post. I took her to the doctor for her 9 month check up and she weighed 17 lbs. She has two teeth now and is crawling and getting into everything she can reach! She pulls up on every piece of furniture she sees and stands up without holding onto anything. I don't think it will be much longer until she is running around! She loves to empty all the dog's food out of their bowl (which is just so fun to clean up) and she tries to duck and hide behind her crib bumper when I come in to get her up in the mornings and after naps! Her favorite place to be is outside and she has been loving playing in her walker in the driveway. She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Barney, and Veggie Tales (she has certain episodes she likes more than others). Her sense of humor and personality are great and keep us laughing all the time. She has started laughing hysterically whenever she sees and hears anyone blowing their nose! She loves her daddy's silly faces and she loves playing pat-a-cake and itsy bitsy spider. Doodle bought her a peek-a-boo baby doll for easter that is her new favorite toy. She has gotten very attached to a certain pink blanket and will smile everytime anyone hands it to her no matter how upset she is. We have started experimenting with more solid, big girl food and she has been loving it! She brings so much joy to us and we really can't imagine life without her.
